Tired of Being the Middleman?

Have you noticed that pump manufacturers have not allowed as many warranties lately? Have you had warranties denied because the pump manufacturer claimed there was something wrong with the power supply or water level? It seems like more and more warranties are being denied. At the same time, your customer is expecting you to warranty the products you installed. It seems that your customers’ expectations for coverage have grown while the manufacturer’s warranty has shrunk. And you are left as the middleman stuck between your customer and your supplier. Everybody wants you to pay for the new equipment.

If you’re looking for a way out of this problem, consider remote well monitoring. You can monitor the voltage and amperage 24 hours a day. You can even monitor the run times and start counts for your pumps. If the manufacturer says the pump has started too many times, you can show them the water well data analytics. If the manufacturer says the motor has had voltage spikes, you can show them the voltage. If the voltage has been too high, you can go back to the power distributor and get them to pay for the pump.

A water well monitoring system is a tool that you can use to protect yourself from these situations. You might even consider requiring remote well monitoring for larger pumps as a condition of warranty. For instance, for any pumps over 5 horsepower, we only allow warranties if we have 24-hour-a-day remote well monitoring. Imagine how many times that will get you out of a jam!
